Thanks, Daniel.
Vernon Harrison's position would be more significant had him kown the full text of the 1900 letter, or if he was a theosophist.
The main question or issue is -- are the ideas in that letter useful in 2006-2007?
Are they meaningful even now? And the answer is -- they are.
Yet those who deny the authenticity of the 1900 letter avoid that subject...
By the way, thanks, Daniel, for telling us that you are NOT attached to an "absolute relativism".
That would lead you to a kind of "TheoSophistry" (after Prothagoras in ancient Greece) and to an "Ethical Relativism" similar to the Sophistic philosophy defended by Henry Sidgwick (SPR's president in 1886) ) in his pseudo-scholarly idiotic book on ETHICS.
A book which is in print by now, and which I had the privilege to examine rather recently.
