RE: HUMILITY OF THE WISE Today's Quote
Dear Friends:
As I see it THEOSOPHY teaches that the wiser anyone gets, the more
knowledge and wisdom is still to be acquired from the infinite UNIVERSE.
I find the SECRET DOCTRINE continually reiterates this aphorism. The scope,
depth and nature of this masterly treatise is self-proving. It takes years
to begin to understand a small fraction of it.
We need to look on ourselves as immortal Pilgrims We all have the same
ancient birthday. As eternal Pilgrims (and BROTHERS, we have traveled far,
but we are aways midway between "ignorance" and full and complete knowledge
- Even the ADEPTS and the MAHATMAS know and say that - so did HPB and Judge
and Crosbie.
When and if we ever show the least pride in our own achievement, at that
instant we are selfishly proud of a "WISDOM that is universal and owned by
all pure souls equally."
That is how I see it,
Best wishes, and in all humility,
with love to all,
Dallas

Friends,
The more the upper triad (Atma- Buddhi-Manas) is active in one's life, the
more the lower quaternary (Sthula-Sharira, Prana, Linga-Sharira and Kama)
are purified.
Hence Kama-Manas, the personal mind -- the combination of Mind and Emotion
-- is humble.
This is also the basis of Devotion.
Devotion is the love of that which is small for that which is big, just as
Compassion is the love of that which is big for those beings which are
small.
Humbleness emerges out of the ability to see and to understand that which is
bigger than us.
Regards, Carlos.
