Dear Mauri,

When my sister asked her Zen teacher about Theosophy, the teacher said "Theosophy is the esoteric (hidden) teachings of Lord Buddha or Buddhism."

That by itself is an incomplete answer but it was good enough for the purposes of my sister. One may add to this, that it is those amount of hidden teachings which have yet so far been revealed in a public manner. One needs to keep in mind that Mr. Sid (Lord Buddha, respectfully) was first of all an initiated Brahman and was pledged to secrecy as to hidden teachings.

Mr. Sid was a reformer, as all great masters appear to be in working with the public. He even went so far as to suggest who a true Brahman is like. If you wish look on line or in your books for the "Dhammapada", the Wisdom of the Buddha, and in the last chapter there is addressed: Who is a Brahman? --Canto XXVI

Hope this helps address some of your questions or concerns regardless how incomplete my response is.

Best regards,
Gary B.
