Re: Theos-World JEWISH NIGHTMARE GONE?

Dear Friends:

There is a war going on with terrorists that would like to destroy
the west. Every time that they communicate with us they talk about
the situation in Palestine that has been going on for a long time.
Now, I would like to refer to you an article written by a
theosophist: Abraham Oron who is president of the Tel Aviv lodge in
Tel Aviv.

I don't agree with the opinion that if you don't agree how the
Israeli government interacts with its neighbors, or, with the people
who live in the occupied territories, you have to be considered a
Nazi or an anti-semitic. We live in a democracy and we have the right
to disagree and to form our own opinion, even about our own
government. The same about a country which is in the Middle East.

These are very dangerous times. Sixty years ago when something
happened in the world it was covered by the newspapers and maybe the
radio. Now it is different. When a war starts, everybody see it
happen through TV and the Internet. People can form their own opinion
if they see and read the FREE media. If they really care they will
find out what it's going on. The old adage: "you can fool some of the
people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the
time," becomes a reality.

My advice to my fellow men everywhere is that the world is a village
and we have to be sensitive to all our neighbors, particularly if
these neighbors are poor, dispossesed, the downtrodden, like in the
article by Oron. We should learn how to relate to them, speak their
language, extend our friendly hand. If they want to destroy us, then,
learn how to convince them that we are not. It is the old system of
relationship: diplomacy instead of bullets and bombs.

My heart goes to the people of Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, and of
course Israel. I wish them the best.
