SUNRISE is, no doubt, an important publication. 

The Pasadena TS, as a whole,  has been successfully involved in preserving the theosophical teachings. 

The efforts made by the Pasadena TS, by the United Lodge of Theosophists and by independent workers like Richard Robb (Wizards Bookshelf),  directly inspired Adyar  Theosophical Society to take some positive steps along the 20th century. 

Among them, we can mention the adoption of Boris de Zirkoff's edition of "The Secret Doctrine";   the publishing the "Collected Writings of HPB" (up to volume XV); the publishing  of Sven Eek's book "Damodar";  the publishing of the "Mahatma Letters" (in the early 1960s),; the publishing of several books by  Geoffrey Baborka, etc. 

So in my view the  Pasadena TS is not only important in itself. It is very important also because of its indirect influence on Adyar, as it  helped reduce Adyar's mistakes and improve Adyar's positive aspects.  

Adyar TS may still have some 70 per cent of theosophists worldwide. Its importance cannot be ignored.
