India's Place in the World

Here is an interesting article, I just saw.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/asiapcf/06/18/india.influence.tm.tm/index.html

When I read the article, I am reminded of the fact that one of the founders
of Indian National Congress which spearheaded the Indian Independence
movement was A O Home - one of the two individuals who had exchange a number
of letters with the Mahatmas. Could it be that one of the long term results
that the Mahatmas were looking forward to was the restoration of India's
proper place in the world? It appears that it may become a reality within
our life time. The more important question would be, would the Hindu
philosophy slowly permeate the rest of the world and affect it for the
betterment of the humanity?
