MORE ON THE OPUS DEI

Sufilight, Friends,
Thanks a lot.
I have some material on the Opus Dei. It includes a long, insightful article in "Le Monde Diplomatique" about its founder and on the organization itself.
Yet there is yet something open to investigation.
What is the policy of Opus Dei/Vatican with regard to new age, esoteric or theosophical groups?
Is it a policy of:
a) publiclly hostile actions, as open criticism, ideological battle, warning to Catholics and Christians at large, etc.?
b) infiltration, to attack from within and from leading positions the main "new age", semi-esoteric and theosophical groups?
c) direct influence over the world of national/international politics?
d) a combination of the three possibilities above?
As long as I know, alternative "d" is likely to occur.
As to infiltration, we should consider that HPB clearly described in "Isis Unveiled" how the Jesuits infiltrated the Masonry centuries ago.
This is a fact which I should study in comparison with what CW Leadbeater did to the theosophical movement from Adyar and Australia.
The comparison will be interesting since both the Jesuits infiltrated in the Masonry and CWL in the theosophical movement created new, "higher rank" power structures based in ritualism and eliminated most democratic aspects of Masonry and Theosophical Movement. I hope I am able to do that soon.
If in small groups gossips and intrigue exist (for instance in a family group, between brothers, etc.) it is easy to see that these lower level power-factors are also used in large groups/institutions, and then in a more systematic and organized way.
The History of the theosophical movement is a living proof of this.
(In global political/military affairs, NSA/CIA and MI5/MI6 are but the visible end of an iceberg, I guess, even in their own countries.)
The question remains, then: what about Opus Dei policies for the esoteric/new age groups in recent decades and in present time? Do they finance or sponsor any leading esotericists?
Best regards, Carlos Cardoso Aveline.

> "There is no question that the organization has members operating at the highest Vatican levels, suggesting ultra-conservative influences on policy. Joaquin Navarro-Valls, for instance -- director of the Vatican Press Office under John Paul II and re-appointed by the current Pope -- has been called the most visible representative of the Church in Rome after the Pope. Navarro-Valls has been a numerary of Opus Dei (that is, one of those who commit to celibacy and self-mortification) since the 1970s."
