The  first skulls look Mayan, for this reason.  The Mayans would  deliberatly 
deform infants heads in that direction because they had a standard  of beauty 
that required it.  This practice continued long after the  disappearance of 
the Mayan empire and we have records from the Spanish of the  practice.
 
The others are a bit stranger and harder to figure out, but if they were in  
any way alien it would easy to find out simply by testing the DNA.
 
Unless of course one holds to the idea that people originally came from  
other planets, but the genome does not indicate that that is the way to  bet.
 
My guess is that this is probably going to ultimately turn out to be one of  
those mysteries that is not really mysterious after all.
