You have not heard of the Golden Stairs, have you?
And what about the New Testament story, which is essentially true, even if not Historical?
You are forgetting all those to try to help humanity, both the Sages, and their disciples, and those to aspire to be their disciples. They all know something -- and also give their testimony.
Sages and their disciples/aspirants to discipleship will not talk about everything. But they will often have someting to say in the world. Ask yourself and other Theosophists about that.
