Religious Killings?

It often is. 

But this refers to top-down, ritualistic, dogmatic religions,  which the theosophical movement was created to question and to check with its notion of  Universal Brotherhood.  

Religion as an inner process, on the other hand,  is "religare" (Latin), to link-again, which is also  Yoga, UNION, the re-union of mind and higher self.  

"Spiritual" bureaucracies prevent that instead of helping it.
