Cass,

But who said I was talking about soulless or emotionless ideas?

Carlos
IMO it is not enough to understand this at an intellectual level but to know it at an emotional level. When compassion for all life becomes integrated into our psyche, then the point becomes moot. Undoubtedly we too were once food for our older brothers.

Friends,

Thanks to MKR (see below).

Besides all the strong spiritual, ethical and health reasons to be
vegetarians, we can also take into consideration that at the
macro-economical level, meat-eating is closely connected to great
land-owners who disrespect labor laws.

Ecologically, meat consumption is associated to worldwide deforestation
whose results on climate are well-known.

In meat-eating with have a key to understand human karma at the stage of
development. And a key factor to change it for the better, too.

Eating the corpses of our younger brothers, the animals, is no good for us,
or for the planet.

Regards, Carlos.
