All organizations have controlled the flow of filtered/censored information
top down for a long time. Finally Internet came along and it will break the
back of this strategy when majority of the membership will become Internet
savvy, which will happen within a generation as the present generation uses
Internet more and more for business and social communication.
I think all organizations are in a quandry as to how to deal with the
changed environment. Of course the minority of membership who have a vested
interest now or hereafter (according to their beliefs) will continue to
ignore the free open communication sources by taking a osterich attitude as
we have already seen happening.

Therein lies the problem. Technically speaking, the TS votes for the
directors. However, the current directors have control over
communications with the TS membership, so no communication which they do
not wish to have heard gets disseminated. Therefore, anybody who has
major problems with the way the TS is being run will not be heard by the
membership, unless they find their way to power by deceitful means, or,
like Nathan Greer, see the value in allowing free debate (and he was
tossed out on his ear for acting on this). Chuck was on the premises at
the time, so could probably give better info on this.
