A longer and healthier life?

John,
Thanks for your viewpoint (see below).
I gradually got into vegetarianism right after getting into a theosophical
group in 1980.
The examples of some people I know show that abandoning meat should be
gradual, so that one's body gets used to it and easily adapts.
I completely agree that vegetarian food is often better in all respects than
the old meat-based food.
And it is a well-known fact that vegetarians tend to have a longer and
better life from the viewpoint of health.
Regards, Carlos.

Carlos,
I have eaten Soy Meat since 1981 as a substitute. it has zero
cholesterol
and has the same protein percentage as beef. It does take some adjustment
for
some by I never noticed that my body even reacted to the change. Today
there
are lots of Soy Products, Beef, Ham, Chicken. Sausage, Turkey, Breakfast
Sausage, sliced Lunchmeat, and many other choices. Even now Soy Cheeses of
various
kinds and one can have a pretty normal menu like before with all these
choices.
