In what way do you assert that Theosophists are a variant of the
gnostics? I see the metaphysical belief system, but do Theosophists
claim to know 'GOD'? Who or what is 'GOD' to a Theosophist, if in
fact gnosis of 'GOD' is claimed or professed?
It is in the First Statement. The ultimate god is defined as an unknowable
being and that is right out of Gnosticism.
