Corruption arises among peoples of many political biases -- left, right, or center. This does not make all Soviet science wrong nor all American science wrong. Both "Cold War" opponents have earned the right to claim falsification of scientific data and human rights abuses.
The Soviet Union had an official policy of altering any scientific results that did not agree with their political point of view. In the United States, science was not under the thumb of the state, allowing other scientists to check the results.

When Americans complained about the treatment of Russian Jews in the 70's and 80's, the Soviets took the case of America's treatement of the American Indian to the U.N. This began a process of ending blatant harrassment of American Indian ceremonies. At some point, literally every American Indian ceremony had been outlawed in the U.S. after 1900.
	Once again, you bring up irrelevancies.
