Oh such things as references to the statues on Easter Island as great  
mysteries when we now know how they were made, who made them and how they moved  
them, as well as what toppled them.
 
Damscus steel, the technique of making was well known even in the middle  
ages and now has been totally surpassed.
 
That sort of thing.
 
It's been a lot of years since I read Isis, wasn't much impressed by it  then.
 
Interesting, fun, but very 19th century.
