A Letter Which Anticipates 20 Century Mistakes

HERE ARE THE OMMITTED SENTENCES IN THE 1900 LETTER.

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Dear friends,

Regardless of the outward origin of the 1900 Letter to Mrs. Annie Besant, it seems certain
that the letter ( in its complete text ) warns against, and anticipates, each one and all the mistakes made by A. Besant during the 20th century.

Below, you have the sentences ommitted by C. Jinarajadasa when he published the letter
in "Letters From the Masters ofthe Wisdom".

The full text of the Letter was first published in September 1987 by "The Eclectic Theosophist" in September 1987, and then by "Theosophical History", in London, in October 1987.

Mr. Emmet Small, the first to publish the complete text, was for many years a coleague of Mr.
Boris de Zirkoff. Boris seems to have accepted the authenticity of the Letter.

Below, the sentences ommitted by C. Jinarajadasa, which anticipate the mistakes which would be made by A.B. during the 20th Century:

O o o O o o O

"Is the worship of a new Trinity made up of the Blessed M. Upasika and yourself to take the place of exploded creeds?"

"We ask not for the worship of ourselves. The disciple should in no way be bettered Beware of an Esoteric Popery."

"You have for some timne been under deluding influences."

"Shun pride, vanity and love for power. Be not guided by emotion but learn to stand alone."

"Be accurate and critical rather than credulous."

"The mistakes of the past in the old religions must not be glossed over with imaginary explanations."

"The E.S.T. must be reformed so as to be as unsectarian and creedless as the T.S."

"The rules must be few and simple and acceptable to all."

"All who are sincere and pure minded should be accepted."

"Misleading secrecy has given the death blow to numerous organizations."

"You will have to leave a good deal of your emotions and credulity before you become a safe guide
among the infuences that will commence to work in the new cycle."

O o o o O o o O
