Christina,
      I think you raise a good question, and not easily answered. It seems to me, that to answer this means that we need study well or have a good grasp upon the original motive behind those who "Spread Broadcast" the teachings to begin with. With this to go on, we might able to tell where deviation occurred from this "pure" impulse. I don't think this should involve personalities, but the actual doctrinal truth as it was primarily presented.
