Hello Frank,

I checked the original edition. The entry in question says: "A Russian Lady"
Personally, I don't purchase Kessinger reprints because, without scrutinizing them page by page, against the original, I can never be sure whether he is reprinting the original edition, a later edition, somebody else's reprint of a later edition etc.
As you already know, there is nothing like working from the original printings, and archives are more than ever needed in order to preserve them. Bravo, for the fine work you have been doing to preserve rare materials in Germany.
Best
Jerry

I have ordered from Kessinger Publishing the reprint of Olcott's "People from the Other World".
I wanted to study the chapter about HPB and looked into the TOC.
On p. xiv, ch. XVIII, I find about HPB the entry: "A Russian xxxxx", while xxxx is my replacement for a black beam.

Who has censored this entry in the Kessinger reprint?
And why?

Has anybody the first edition of the "People" and can look after it which word is censored?
Thanks

Frank
