Who cares what SPR & TS Adyar declares as coporate entities

Just because the board of directors of the SPR
or the general council of the TS Adyar might
vote to declare that HPB is innocent of all
charges doesn't mean that it is true or if
they say the opposite it doesn't mean it is true.

Did each of the voters of these boards/councils actually
study all the historical documents and determine historically
that such and such is true or false?

Such votes as far as I can see are totally worthless for anyone
who wants to think for himself/herself.

As HPB writes about Theosophy:

"To the mentally lazy or obtuse, Theosophy must remain a riddle; for
in the world mental as in the world spiritual each man must progress
by his own efforts. The writer cannot do the reader's thinking for
him, nor would the latter be any the better off if such vicarious
thought were possible."

Such voting by council or board is nothing more than "vicarious
thought."

The same for whether Judge was innocent or guilty of the charges
against him.

That is why in THE ESOTERIC WORLD I wanted readers to read the
accounts by Coulomb and Hodgson and maybe some of the readers might
think through the charges in light of other evidence/testimony also
presented in the same book.

As editor of the volume I certainly gave my opinion about the
validity of the charges and gave suggested titles for readers to
follow up on if they were inclined or interested in doing.

When I became first interested in Theosophy and HPB I wanted to read
Coulomb and Hodgson myself and determine for myself the validity of
the charges. If I had come across a statement by the SPR declaring
HPB was innocent of the Hodgson charges, how would I have known that
such statement was true or not? What evidence was considered? What
reasoning was used, etc. What was not considered, etc. etc.

Again reread HPB's above quote.

Now what can each of these societies do? They can open their
journals and magazines to articles on the subject. Both pro and con
articles. And let intelligent discussions be carried out in these
forums.

See HPB's own suggestions in this area:

Lucifer..opens its columns to writers whose views..may..be
diametrically opposed:
