Gladney Oakley, a volunteer worker for the TS in Australia for many 
years and the person who conceived of and implemented the Union Index 
of Theosophical Periodicals, which includes all volumes of *The 
Theosophist* and *Lucifer*, passed away in Sydney on Monday, January 
2nd, 2006. He was a real Theosophist, dedicated, gentle and kind, and 
his friends in Australia and around the world will miss him. 

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 10th, 2006 in the 
Camellia Chapel of the Macquarie Park Crematorium, Delhi Road, North 
Ryde, Sydney, commencing at 11:00am.
