At times when my son as a boy (he is a teenager now), was not
so respectful to his daddy or mummy, I used to tell him, 
"Look here, boy! You can be smarter, richer, more intelligent,
etc. than your parents, but one thing you never can be: being
elder."

Being more spiritually mature now, I realize the fallacy in
that statement. Now I know that my son can actually be elder
to me, taking into account the past lives.

And yes, as monads, we are all as old as Brahman himself
(or itself)!
