In 1979 I was going out with a woman on the Olcott staff and we wandered 
onto the library balcony through the secret passage (at least that's what we 
called it, it's the stairway that comes out the folding door in the center of 
the north side of the balcony). Dora was sitting in the library talking to two 
somewhat older women from some other country, I don't remember which, and 
the were sitting on the couch under the balcony, one on each end.

The mirth demons were raging that night and possessed by devil knows how 
many of them I climbed over the railing and dropped down to land sitting on the 
couch between the two visitors. As my girlfriend cowered in horror and the 
two women nearly died of shock, Dora, without missing a beat in what she was 
saying, said, "Chuck! How nice of you to drop in!"

Oh to be young again! I'd break my neck if I tried to do that now.
