Speaking of stealing lines

The line entered the canon and when Ed heard it he nearly leapt out his kilt
with joy and asked me for it.
That reminds me of a time (I'm pretty sure you were in the room at the
time) when Joy Mills said that, when she thought of some of the things
that she said 50 years ago, she was embarrassed. John Algeo replied that
if she was not embarrassed by some of the things she said 50 years
previously, then she should REALLY be embarrassed, because it would have
meant that she had failed to learn anything new in 50 years. A couple of
years later I asked him if I could use the line. His reply was that he
didn't even remember saying it, but it was the kind of thing that he
would have liked to have said, and certainly I could use it.
It is useful for dealing with new age morons.
