Theos-World Re: The Latest by Frank on the "status" of women according to Theosophy

Hello Bart,
The Roman catholic church for one has resisted and resisted allowing women the full
status of Priest or Bishop.
I think the church had a bit of an effect on culture.

The extension of this mindset is that women are some how lesser than the man, after all
they were only created as the after thought of god to give man a companion as is stated in
Genesis when read purely in a dead letter sense.

It seems even absurd to me to have to justify a statement that patriarchal society has
suppressed the rights of women not allowing an equal sharing of power to that of men.

Do a google search under patriarchy and feminism, have a read.

To deny that women have a soul is an outrageous extension of this mindset and has
implications that are violent, meaning cable of causing injury to put it lightly.
How do you treat a `soulless' creature ? What implications does this have.

Maybe may comments could have been written more clearly.

Perry
