That detection is indeed not new. Many German scholars detected the Sanskrit origin of the New Testament in the 19th and early 20 century.
Two give only two examples:
In 1906 Th. J. Plange publsihed a 272 pp. book "Jesus - ein Inder?" (Jesus - an Indian?)

And in 1914 Richard Garbe published an over 300pp. book entitled: "Indien und das Chriutentum" (India and Christianity), were the buddhist and Christian cults are compared and found identical: the monastaries with monks and nuns, the celibate, the tonsure, the confession, worship of reliquaries, therosary (mala), tower building, bells, incense etc. etc.
To the present reprint Dr. Lindtner has written an introduction.

The alarming in-depth scholarly research in Germany - of which BTW Katherine Tingley around 1896 in one of the TSA magazines - can't find it right now- said that the TM would need this German manas most urgent and which was destroyed by two WW - was not unrecognized:
One American newspaper f.e. wrote (and I have it from the German translation in the Buddhist magazine "Zeitschrift für Buddhismus", July-August 1921, that the Allied attacked Germany for the very reason that the German scholars researched to much Sanskrit scriptures and that would lead to a dangerfor Christianity. In the German translation the American newspaper is given as "Illinois-Staats-Zeitung", which, in re-trasnlating it, should be something like "Illinois States paper".
Perhaps someone will find it someday in an American library.

If this claim is true, WW I is to be regarded as a religion war. The Germanresearch into the occult history, Atlantis, Tibet, Thule, Dzyan etc. was not abandoned in teh 1930'ies, but much forced. As the stolen tons of many million government documents are still top secret Allied possession, no one has a first-hand overview. But from the few things that dropped out to the public - often in scarcy publications - one could assume that there might have been much success in direction to what HPB predicted in her intro to SDabout evidence that will be found in the 20th Century (found, not necesserely published). 

In light of what the head of the Chinese Buddhist wrote in 1937 to the Leader of Germany and that H.H. the 14.th Dalai Lama (who was educated as a boyby two SS men Peter Aufschneiter and Heinrich Harrer) revealed in his Harvard lectures that there exists a prophecy of the Buddha about the future when certain human beings will appear in the district of Lhasa, which was a lake at the Buddha's life time and will be dried out when these men arrive, there may be more occult secrets around Tibet and Germany as seen by face value.

The Dalai Lama in his Harvard lecture thinks that the Lord's prophecy was fulfilled with the appearance of the two SS men. Are there more reasons why the Dalai Lama sees occult connections between Germany and Tibet (which BTWboth suffered much in 20th Century)? Are there also inner Earth connections? And why were both these countries overrun by armies wearing Freemasonry (Rothschild) logos (Hammer and sickle and the five pointed star, red in Russia, white in USA and yellow in Communistic China)? The krassni terreur of Alexander Solchenicyn? Identical with HPB's terreur warning in the Occult Glossary?

The SS office Ahnenerbe scheduled world-wide secret expeditions to search for proofs (buildings, documents etc.) of the existence of the Ur-Sprache and Ur-Religion: in Tibet, China, Venecuela, Argentinia, Africa, Greenland, Antarctica etc. Despite some films about their researches in Tibet and Antarctica which were shown end of the 1930'ies and some articles in professional periodicals of the time next to nothing came to light until today. It is been said that Rudolf Hess was one of the insiders.

Even in the amazing book of British historian Martin Allen about the Hess peace flight in 1941 there is nothing to find about the Tibet connection or Buddha's or HPB's predictions relating to Germany. Is the revelation of this occult work in the 1930'ies subjected to the Great One, who in another old prophecy will come to peling-pa and enlighten all mankind, as HPB reportsin the so-called 3rd vol. of the SD and which she names Chom-den-da??? It is curious that this name is Old High German for "Who-comes-there".

Will Who-comes-there come when the time is ripe and the rupas are ready? Was the war engineered to break His coming? It is of further serious interestthat the Buddha, who is identical with Wot-an or Vat-an - the an is like the Tibetan -pa = ancestor, line, has Sakyamuni as one of his by-names. In OHG Sakya is Sax and muni in monk = the monk from Saxony. Notice Bla-Vat-Sky, the blue messenger of Vatan, notice also Tingley as the Ting or Thing is the old German place of assembly, and she organized the biggest assambly of Theosophists in modern times in 1898, with over 5,000 delegates present from the world over, representing the TM and electing her Leader for lifetime for the sake and rescue of the TS. Also the Thing/Tingley was the court - KT was the court for AB and CWL and all pseudo-Theosophists and the Thing assembly had the decide which was the right way: The path of Besant, Leadbeater, Sinnett and Charavarti or the path of HPB, Judge, Tingley and Purucker; it seems the pukka messengers from Shambala are what's in their names).

So, as Churchill and Roosevelt frequently used to say that war against spiritual Germany was necessary because "of the cause of Religion" (read Judeo-Christianity) or "to save Christanity" or to "save Democracy" or "Humanity", also WW II can be regarded like the Iraq war, where bombing the culture artefacts was first target, a religion war, too.

Note, that the mass bombing of the most richest culture centers in Europe, the Dresden city and all the other culture was - known to historians - the declared bomb targets of Churchill and Roosevelt, although it made no military and strategic sense. think of the American air raids against the old Greek culture center of Pompeji, were no military objects were or the destruction of the big old monastary on Mount Casino, Italy, were SS troops in a rescue operation saved as much invaluable arts (paintings etc.) as they could.
 
Or think of the advice of the Bush administration shortly before their criminal attack on Iraq, where Saddam was said to bring all the old culture andarts artefacts and docments of Babylon for safekeeping out of the cities into the deserts to save the culture over the war. The Iraqi did and the USAbombed first the desert, where no military target were.

So, for what reasons wars are led?? Is there old knowledge around us, whosediscovery or re-discovery must be prevented by all means?
