Normal clairvoyants & psychics VERSUS Initiates & Adepts

Hugh Shearman (a well-known member and writer of
the Theosophical Society, Adyar) wrote:

". . . the accounts of after-death conditions in
her [Blavatsky's] own direct writings and in the
Mahatma Letters CLASH very emphatically not only
with what Bishop Leadbeater and other members of
the [Adyar Theosophical] Society later described,
but also with descriptions given by psychics
quite unconnected with the Society." Caps

WHO are these "psychics quite unconnected with
the Society"?

Are we referring here to the common run of psychics, sensitives,
and clairvoyants as mentioned in the letters of the Mahatmas?

Are these the kinds of "seers" and psychics described
by Mahatma K.H. in the following passage?

"Vainly do your modern seers and their prophetesses, creep into
every cleft and crevice without outlet or continuity they chance to
see; and still more vainly, when once within do they lift up their
voices and loudly cry: 'Eureka! We have gotten a revelation from the
Lord!' — for verily have they nothing of the kind. They have
disturbed but bats, less blind their intruders; who, feeling them
flying about, mistake them as often for angels — as they too have
wings! . . . "

Are these "psychics" mentioned by Shearman described by the
following words of Master Morya?

"Unless regularly initiated and trained -- concerning the spiritual
insight of things and the supposed revelations made unto man in all
ages from Socrates down to Swedenborg . . . no self-tutored seer or
clairaudient ever saw or heard quite correctly."

How many of these "psychics quite unconnected with the Society" have
been regularly initiated and trained?

Notice that Shearman emphasizes the SIMILARITY between the
teachings of C.W. Leadbeater and these other psychics regarding the
after-death states.

Yet pay attention to what Mahatma Koot Hoomi says about the initiate:

"The world of force is the world of Occultism and the only one
whither the highest initiate goes to probe the secrets of being.
Hence no-one but such an initiate can know anything of these
secrets. Guided by his Guru the chela first discovers this world,
then its laws, then their centrifugal evolutions into the world of
matter. To become a perfect adept takes him long years, but at last
he becomes the master."
