Dear friends,
Sometime ago I started writing an article about Great Alexander
still I did not finish it, but I am sending a poem . Please forgive
me for my poor English may not allow me to express it in a better
way.
The Will of Alexander
When the swallows return
To their nests in Egypt
And the leaves fall for earth to embrace
And frozen rivers never reach the sea of the forgotten
Carry, To the temple of Osiris, my soul
My voice, to Delphos of Apollon, I sacrifice
My eyes East to meet
My foot, Hades, to touch
My hands in Alexandria to be spread
My neck, from the Mediterranean, to drink
So in the homeland I will stand
And my terrible yesterday I will forgive
Immortal mother of pain why you hide from me;
My father loss why u did not believe?
How could you lock the truth within your heart?
Unfairly, to the ends of the world, I searched to find it….
Immortal mother of life, why you do not let me to live?
So the clouds I could see, and thirsty to be…
And one day two meters from the tree that I so much loved
Forever there my grave to be
To the temple of Osiris carry my soul
My voice, to Delphos of Apollon, I sacrifice
My eyes the East to meet
My foot, Hades, to touch
My hands in Alexandria to be spread
My neck, from the Mediterranean, to drink
So in the homeland I will stand
And my terrible yesterday I will forgive
