Re: Question for Occultists -- What is sorcery ?

Dear Mark:

I think you are right and our approach to understanding occult forces and
effects has to be through some field or kind of "vibration." If we consider
that we may be only using mental constructs, and desire motivated
imagination, then, at least there are a close set of analogies and
correspondences in these. But, not necessarily entirely of physical matter
-- such as we use in making all kinds of equipment. Even before any
equipment is made there is an awful lot of mental work in a "matter" that
can be built up, modified, and / or torn down quickly. (Aside: what are
'dreams,' and "ideas," and "visions," made of ? )

What is the nature of the force we are looking at? How is it channeled so
as to preserve and direct a "current ?" [ Mind, thought, imagination,
desire, and modifying or using the mind as a tool. Who or what is the
"modifier" in us ? ]

There seems to be a subtle change between mental constructs and their
physical effectiveness. For me that is a challenge. First to understand,
and then to guess at what transit points and controls might be available for
use to effect a translation into the kind of materials we are presently
confined to.

[Take the principles of the "Keeley motor" into account, and some of Tesla's
work. There was also "Gary's Magnetic Motor," I may be a skeptic, but I
also wonder if something is happening which may be actual, and I am not
sensitive enough, or broad-minded enough to see it. I believe there is a
department in Princeton University that actively considers "Anomalies."
What do they do ? What data do they accumulate ? ]

Now how is this study and inquiry to be prepared, shaped, employed, directed
-- and to do what ?

We may describe and term the forces and phenomena we ae made aware of, and
use any sector of the spectrum of vibrations as we please. But the
conception that challenges me is how can this done with the mind as a direct
tool? Where and what is the "desire?" And the "Will?" -- all of these as
part of the mental and non-physical equipment.

But there is very little available on the art and science of developing and
training these faculties -- common to us, all but not well analysed.

I can understand that the mind employs its power of "imagination" to make
designs according to criteria which it sets up. Every inventor or creative
person uses that capacity to desire, to envisage, whether in drawing,
planning, music, painting, city-designing, engineering, business management,
etc... t is so basic we forget it is, presumably, trainable.

The next thing is: what has the moral aspect of motive to do with the use
of such powers? How is it that occult powers differ from "sorcery" only
through motive?

In our view of science we don't consider this, if at all. In occultism it is
placed in the front row.

I am sure there are other on the list who are also interested in this -- if
we can get some suggestions it would help.

Just mighty curious,

Best wishes,

Dallas

I've studied the articles by WQJ very closely. Most of the elementals
he describes are almost personifications of different scientific
phenomena. Unfortunately, I can only link some of them to an
established science and research in electromagnetism. The
subtle-energy approach (radionics) doesn't hold much ground and is
harder to back up my theories.

I know there is more than one method for both apportation and
levitation. One of the methods, however, is directly contributed to
the Hutchison effect. It uses powerful magnetic fields to allow the
distant movement of objects by will.

>From this point I have 2 theories:

1. Skill over Strength

2. Manipulation through a Nexus Point

1. Skill over Strength.

Occultism uses perfect, resonating frequencies to achieve results.

Let me use an analogy--it would be similar to using sound to break glass.

If you use the wrong sound frequency--one that does not resonate with
glass--you'd need a lot more energy to break it. This is energy that
may not be available to you.

Similarly, in occultism you need to find the exact frequency to achieve a
result. The frequency will resonate with the energy you need to manipulate.

If you don't use the proper frequency nothing will happen because the
energies you generate are otherwise too weak.

2. Manipulation through a nexus point

The brain could perhaps take advantage of a nexus point--a link
between your will and the physical world.

This would allow a person's will to be projected onto the physical realm.

You still need to use the correct resonating frequencies to designate what
you wish to will and manipulate.

(Note: I mean this figuratively--the mind would
actually have to use subtle energy fields to control either the nexus
or what's on the other side of the nexus-I *don't* mean your will
actually leaps out and commands things)

Who knows-could be both, could be neither.
