Theosophy-Talk Radio?

Apr 30, 2005 09:18 AM
by Mark Hamilton Jr.

I was considering paying for an online host for people to listen in
(shoutCAST streaming radio). Would anyone want to record speeches or
donate recordings from TS meetings to play over it? I would let other
people record and submit their speeches free of charge, to be aired
over the web. Of course, everything aired would have to be screened
first to make sure there's no vulgar content and that it relates to
theosophy.

The only constraints right now is in fact content; I don't want to
play repeated material over and over. If it kicks off and becomes
popular I might add a donation box to improve the service (to allow
thousands of people to listen in and receive higher-quality
transmissions). But is not really necessary.

Or perhaps we could arrange guest speakers to talk live? Maybe have
call in shows? Who knows, depends who participates.

People would be able to tune in with WinAMP, Windows Media Player, and
other streaming-audio players.

Sound like a good idea?
