It is a convenience, and for me, frankly, a force of habit. It appears to me that specialized lines of thought have a way of developing their own acronyms and jargon over time. For the benefit of newbys, perhaps Eldon can arrange some kind of permanent post of the initials and their meanings: AB, CWL, GdP, HPB, TS, TSA, ULT etc.
