The way you are tempted is different for each initiate, because their
desires are like a magnetic force--the stronger the desires are, the
more they will attract black magicians to exploit it. I was tempted
with several things, such as immortality in the physical realm (which
was just a ploy for them to work with), learning powerful techniques,
and quicker training in occultism.

The black magicians also have initiations. They will rarely attack a
white magician who is not on their same tier [level] as them. Once you
get past a certain stage in your training, temptation will seem to
melt away, but it is a false sense of security--you can still be
tempted, so always be careful.
