Lodges are not functioning and people are not interested because they
have changed focus, philosophy they offer etc. You can't sell
something which is inferior. As you know by advertizing you can
temporarily sell something but people would test and throw it away if
they find product is not good.
So even if you are marketing great opportunity, I think what
philosophy lodges give is important. As Jerry said in 1960, Besant
Lodge had 100 members and photos of Leadbeater, Besant and
Krishnamurti were hung. That also means focus was on study of writings
of CWL and AB. That time it was functioning well. Later management in
many lodges promoted other inferior philosophies which people
rejected. They deserted lodges. You can't cheat people for long time.
Ultimately people will consider quality of the product or philosophy
they get.
