My lodge is located in Maharashtra state, India. We have members of
all age from 20 to 85. Actually I don't involve much in lodge work
because I am involved in much larger work, not just Theosophy but some
other projects also which are useful to people.
I would say lodge is managed better than many other lodges in the
country. Main reason for this better condition is management considers
writings of Annie Besant and Leadbeater as most standard. So any
newcomer first gets introduced to their books, they like these and
continue further study. There is hardly anybody who studies HPB's
writing.
In America big problem is if you are reading say CWL's book, some
Blavatskian comes and says ' Are you a fool, why are you reading
Leadbeater's book, read Secrete Doctrine' This atmosphere completely
spoilt Theosophical movement in America.
Here nobody would say like that because most people read and
appreciate Besant's and Leadbeater's books.
