Dear Anand:

I suggest you answer that question for yourself.

In no case ought anyone answer or prescribe rules of conduct for others.
But, reasonable suggestions can be offered and always explained.

You will find as you begin your study of real THEOSOPHY that it gives
accurate explanations of the rules and laws of Nature, but it does not
demand that anyone follow them.

There is also a problem with language, since if English is to be used, it
should be clear, explanatory and accurate. I have read some of the written
material you offered and find on the whole it foes not explain clearly the
basic laws from which it derives descriptions. That is a pity, It is a pity
because one cannot place reliance on them as being accurate THEOSOPHY .

THEOSOPHY provides basics, fundamentals, ideals and explanations, and leaves
application to the students who deem that it is valuable to use in their own
self-directed development towards a sincere and honest spiritual life. No
one is asked to scrutinize or over look anyone else than themselves with the
assistance of the Higher Self --- the ATMA-SPIRIT within. Atma is the same
for all and is the basis of Universal Brotherhood -- or THEOSOPHY.

"There is no religion higher than Truth ."

One may state an ideal and give reasons for advice, but there can be no
enforcement nor any judgement passed on others.

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS is a simple way of saying it.

-----------------------------------

I observe that you put forward matters which you deem to be of Theosophical
value, but, which show little or no knowledge of the fundamental and basic
teachings of THEOSOPHY as given to us for consideration by HPB the
responsible messenger of the Mahatmas of the First Section (The MASTERS OF
WISDOM) who continue to guide the THEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT regardless of the
'name' used by any organization.

This puzzles me, and I notice that a number of respondents are equally
puzzled by your apparent ignorance of either those fundamentals, or of the
history of the THEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT since the days of the founding of the
THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY in 1875.

One thing made plain from the beginning is that the THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY is
not THEOSOPHY -- the philosophy and science of the operation of our world
and universe, its rules, laws and the matter of individual progress. The
THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY is an organization dedicated to spreading the original
teachings of THEOSOPHY and not to any teachings constructed by late-comers.

We all notice that the THEOSOPHIST of these later years no longer makes any
effort to diffuse or explain the ORIGINAL TEACHINGS as found for instance in
the first 10 or 15 volumes of that magazine. Why not? Has it been
forgotten?

You offer information drawn from other sources which are only vaguely
related to the original teachings, and seem unable to offer any satisfactory
or logical reconciliation with the original teachings.

Many of us would like to hear from you a simple and direct statement
concerning this if you are able to do so. We have all been asking for that,
and so far you have provided nothing except unsupported statements and
claims. Some have been offended by the tone you have used.

If you have nothing better to do, I suggest you spend some time in careful
study and then restart your offerings to us to consider. Please base them
on the ORIGINAL TEACHINGS, if you will.

Best wishes,

Dallas TenBroeck

How ethical it is to preach virtues while eating flesh of innocent
animals, smoking cigarettes day and night.
