Re: Theos-World Jerry: "What are you trying to say that we don't already know?"

Daniel,
As I already stated in my initial reply to your specific question about the Voice: I have long been aware that ULT printed a version modified by Judge. This is very old news to me. In your replies, you have since come up with considerable material from the OE Library Critic, which as far as I'm able to discern, perfectly confirms my initial statement. So, I don't see that we have a problem here. Do you?

In light of my initial statement, which I did not eloborate, your speculation that I must have meant that the ULT founders were ignorant of the fact that Judge made those changes, might be a reasonable speculation. But, it is incorrect. I have always been under the impression that ULT knew all along that they were printing an edition that was modified by Judge. I also believe that this was clearly their intent all along. From the perspective of those founders, who held Judge and Blavatsky in equal esteem, this would have been a perfectly reasonable thing for them to do. If you have evidence to the contrary, then I would be interested in seeing it.
So in this context, and not the context you have speculated, I will directly answer your questions:

Are you contending that the changes
and corrections to Theosophy Company's 1928 edition
of THE VOICE were "errors of ignorance"?

No. They were, as far as I know, perfectly aware that they were printing a version modified by Judge.

And are you contending that the Theosophy Company
in 1928 was NOT "trying to 'improve' on the original"
VOICE when they published such changes and corrections??

No. As far as I know, they printed the Voice exactly as Judge had modified it, without making improvements.

Now, on another matter: Dan, I have to say that I find your combative tone rather disturbing. I feel as if I am be persued by a mad man coming at me with a two-by- four. If you feel that I make an error of fact, I invite you to politely correct it and offer your evidence for the correction. But, for you to pick apart my statements, pit them into your own context and try to beat me over the head with them, does not fall into the catagory of what I consider polite conversation. As we used to say--Its time for you to chill out.
