Dear Leon and all,
Mr Gholap's reverential support for many of Bishop Leadbeater's now
utterly discredited notions and his apparent dismissal of H P
Blavatsky, many of whose notions have subsequently been verified and
validated by modern science, deeply mystifies and antagonises a
number of contributors to theos-talk.
Mr Gholap seems to hold that freedom of thought permits any opinion
whatsoever in the name of theosophy.
In my experience, this position is unfortunately supported
unequivocally by the elected hierarchy in most sections of the Adyar
Theosophical Society. In an attempt to prevent any form of dogma,
this Society permits and encourages through publication and
presentations, the perpetuation of absolutely unsustainable
propositions under the heading of Theosophy.
Perhaps it is from this organisation's position that Mr Gholap and
others gain their inspiration and support?
Regards
Nigel
