It's a distorted logic. I simply mean that if the book is popular it 
doesn't prove that it says truth. But I didn't say that SD or Bible 
tell lie, though I personally believe that in case of Bible it is so. 
Also I think that SD may contain no less errors than books by CWL.

To talk about dugpas, it is desirable to know them better, and not 
from the books only. So I'm glad to offer you an opportunity to widen 
your knowledge about them.

The same is true about books by CWL, and maybe even in a greater 
extent.
I often receive the letters from all parts of Russia, they are not 
from theosophists only, but also from people who have personal 
problems. Several months ago I've received a letter from a woman who 
has lost her son, and she was very depressed. I was sure that "The 
secret doctrine" or philosophical works by Subba Row wouldn't help 
her, and I've recommended her to read "Invisible helpers", and later I 
found out that it was exactly what she needed.
