Re: Theos-World Path of Occultism (AnandGholap.Net - Online Theosophy)

Chanting esoteric teachings have nothing to do with devotion to the teacher.
It is simply a method to impress the teaching through the aural channel which
corresponds to the "mouth-to-ear" or oral instructions of the live Master.
The chant gives the proper inflections so that the meaning becomes much clearer
than can be expressed by the written words themselves. HPB used certain
methods of typographics to indicate those aural inflections -- much like the
masoretic points in the Hebrew alphabet which serve as a sort of musical notation
for the Cantor or chanter. It's a shame that the later translators and
interpreters of her writing weren't Adept enough to recognize the importance of her
typography used to clearly explain the underlying or esoteric meaning behind
her exposition of the occult truths. Could that be why they distorted and
misinterpreted it so radically in their own teachings?

However, you are free to use your own intuition and judgement to decide the
correctness of any teaching by other authors. But don't expect any of us to
take your word for it. :-)
