Anand,
To me the item that is in need of definition is the word "forced." A much 
greater precision of just what is meant by the use of this word is in order. 
It may be that she understood the context in more depth than the word itself 
implies. For instance, in Dzogchen Clear Light Yoga there is the concept and 
process of "Leap Over" which may be a similar synonym.
