Theoretically all applicants should be admitted, and foreign
theosophists got surprised to know about my problems. Anyway it
is common problem here in Russia. There are several reasons for
it, and one of the first is that all intercourse with Adyar is
performed
through presidential representative, not directly. If he is not
interested in membership growth, it doesn't grow. So we have less
than 20 members still, in spite the fact that the interest to
theosophy here is not less than in other countries. For example, in
2004 "Key to theosophy" by HPB was printed in 5000 copies and
that printing is already sold, and additional printing in 3000 copies
was issued in the end of same year. "Secret Doctrine" is reprinted
almost every year.
But I joined United Lodge of Theosophists, and there are other
associates of ULT is this forum.

No. I think you will have no problems with joining TS in Brazil.
Brazil has large TS section and first you should write for information
to its General Secretary, whose address you shall find in the
International Directory at Adyar website http://www.ts-adyar.org
