Cass,
Nice, thanks for your comments and definitions, makes me wonder which
Dictionary you quote from, it seems to be a very nice resource, why not tell all
of us the Title and Author? Also nice to see some one expend the effort to
look up the terms and analogs.
Well, the question remains why "Gold?" Is it more than just an analog
and symbol? What is the Midnight Sun? The Buddha was already a Buddha before he
was a Buddha, his enightenment is intrinsic, all beings are Buddha, for the
same reason Krishna is seated in the Heart of all beings. Ramalinga for instance
I beleive said " there are two hearts in man, the one on the left side of the
chest, the physical, and the one on the right side of the chest, the
Spiritual. Which Heart is Krishna seated in?
The cloth on the forearm of the Buddha in the Temple was "folded," and I
guess this is correlate to the latent you describe in your selected
definitions. When the cloth is not folded and is infinite then what is it?
Last night I was at a website that displayed a beautiful nebula, the
remains of an exploded sun, beside it another picture, a very appealing artistic
rendering of a Celestial Dragon . Astronomers see remnents of stars all over
the universe, are these "exploded Buddha's and Logos?
I do like the definitions from the Dictionary of Myths.
John
