Steve, 1864 is of course a typo and
if you had consulted the physical copy of
Endersby's book, p. 160, you would have
seen a photographic facsimile of the
letter Dr. Kirk wrote to Mr. Endersby
in 1964.

Where do you get the 1904 date from???????
