Cass,
Well , Iread the Narada Bhakti Sutra decades ago. In it narada is in
Heaven with Vishnu and Vishnu tells Narada: Narada I thirst, go to the river and
bring me some water. So Narada eager to please Vishnu imeediately sets out for
the river but along the way he happens to see a widow woman with several smal
children on a farm along his way so he says to himslef I wil stop to help this
pooor woman for a while. He stays there and plows the fields and raises the
crops and the children also, later after all the children have been raised and
decades have gone by he dies and Vishnu seeing Narada asks Narada: Narada where
is the water I asked for? Narada very surprised answer Vishnu "lord I must
have forgot the water, wait and I will go get it now."

I think I laughed for ten minutes over this characterization of samsara. At
any rate, I Googled for Narada Bhakti Sutra and did not find a authentic
online version the same as I have in hardbound. Quest Theosophy Books has it:

Quest Books: Narada Bhakti Sutra (I.K. Taimni)

The Hardbound Narada Bhakti Sutra I have is:
