Mr. Hall had an early and deep interest in HPB and never hesitated to
acknowledge his debt to her. I remember, near the end of his life, he
briefly spoke at Pasadena at the 1988 HPB SD centenary where he
mentioned a class he did in the 1930's on the SD (I have his notes on
that class here), and said that he wished that he had waited until he
understood more. Mr. Hall was a man of great humility, wisdom and
generosity. There was (and may still be) quite a lot of Theosophical
oddities in the form of documents etc. in Mr. Hall's archives at PRS.
Part of the library and Mr. Hall's personal collection was auctioned off
after his death, so I'm not certain how much of those documents are
still to be found there.

Well I don't know if this matters but years ago I used to frequent Manly
Hall's Philosophical Research Society in LA. Apparently Manly Hall had an
Theosophical Archive locked away there, I don't know the extent of it but He used
to sent out to me original Photo's (old time, mounted" of Madame Blavatsky,
James Pryse, G. R. S. Mead from the lock away. As many Hall was lecturing widely
on Theosophy way back in 1937 and probably before that he may have acquired
some real family jewels which now may be residing there.
