Pedro,
You write about Leadbeater:
-------------------------------------------------
His statement includes two important points:
1. His experience, both in Church groups as well as a clairvoyant,
made it clear to him that the question of sex was the most important
problem a young person faced in his or her development. He claimed
he could see this as, for example, a cluster of sensual thought-
forms closing in around young people at times, exerting on them
enormous pressure. Therefore he advised regular discharge
(masturbation), as the alternative at that time was to resort to
prostitutes.
2. He declared, before the Board, that HE TOLD THE PARENTS that the
first thing he did in his training of boys was to have a FRANK
DISCUSSION WITH ON SEXUAL MATTERS, because of the reason expressed
in no. 1 above.
----------------------------------------------
Pedro, you write of Leadbeater's ADVICE and FRANK DISCUSSION.
If Leadbeater had given ONLY advice and frank discussion,
much of the controversy might have never occurred or at least
it would have been somewhat muted. Perhaps.
But don't you think it was the OTHER THINGS that
heated the controversy to an overboiling stage?
One example of the OTHER THINGS:
Leadbeater himself admits that
he not only gave the advice to masturbate but
admits to "a certain amount of indicative
action" and that "touch" might have taken place.
So Pedro, I ask you: WHAT EXACTLY is Mr. Leadbeater
admitting to IN ADDITION to simply giving advice?
And some OTHER THINGS that need to be considered are what
Bart stated in his posting that Leadbeater was:
----------------------------------------------
1) Sleeping naked with naked young men.
2) Taking baths with naked young men.
----------------------------------------------
Plus two OTHER THINGS:
"...in reply to the question 'When did it happen?' he said
'the very first night I visited him when we slept together.'"
...."He made me promise not to tell."
And let us not forget the point I have quoted
several times from Jerry H-E.
Pedro, advice and frank discussion is one thing, but was
all of the rest I enumerated above really necessary
in Leadbeater's "training of boys"? Seems the points
I enumerated go BEYOND advice and frank discussion.
