Dear Donna:

Would it be correct to say that Chinese philosophy equates "luck" with "fate
?"

If so how is "luck" altered?

Is the limitation 33 1/3 the result of early choices made in the past?

Best wishes,

Dallas

Dear Heinz,

In Chinese metaphysics the answer is explained by the Holy Trinity of

Heaven's Luck, Earth's Luck and Man's Luck. Each Luck affects a man life

by thirty three and one third.

Heaven's Luck is destiny - out of man's control

Earth's Luck is Feng Shui or your environment - your choice of where and how
you live

Man's Luck is your effort in your life.

Based on this theory we have sixty six and two thirds of the control over
our lives.

That is as short as I can make my answer!

Donna from Dallas

A while ago I asked the question "Is man a free agent?" (Descartes) and the
answers I got where inconclusive.

I will therefore re-phrase this question as follows:

"Has man got a free will or does he just think he has got a free will to do
whatever he decides to do?"

A short argumentation for either "Yes" or "No" would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Sincerely Heinz.
