Dear Paul:
I am an eternal optimist. I believe that we are still in the early stages
of the use of Internet and very hopeful of enormous changes to come which
will affect the society world-wide. Most of the population of today grew up
in pre-computer days. Today's youngsters are growing up in the Internet
culture and they are the ones who are going to spearhead changes in
communication and discourse in ways none of us could even imagine. So we
may have to patiently wait and hope. As an aside, when one of the local
firms was hiring a professional who just came of the college, the
individual would not work for an employer who does not have high-speed
Internet available at workplace. I also saw a writeup on how instant
messaging is used in large companies to speed communication. So all
pointers are in hopeful direction!!!
