A simple study and fast research about the info Theosophical literature cangive us the characteristics and properties of the Astral reigns, with all its inhabitants.
They´re eager to catch the attention from us, in this material plane ,whoare also anxious to make contact with the so-called "unknown beyond", Thus, they may give us many illusions, adopting the appearance suitable for their needs.
It may be a Master, a deceased HPB or whomever they find useful and important in our field of conscience.
When we develop our siddhis we get exposed to many ' temptations' from the "other side".
We must take the example of the true yogis such as Vivekananda, Ramakrishnaand also the many texts on the Dhamapada and B. Gita, our siddhis must be of secondary importance because they´ll still represent the illusion world, not the reality.
The physical ego is always eager to feel "one of the chosen', that is why so many psychics get lost in the path.
We ought to purify the astral sences to be not trapped in such illusions.
My POV, of course.
