Another thought about truth telling. From a Jain POV, or Buddhist. Harmlessness, is telling only what will be useful at the time and what will encourage the growth or protection or care of the other. Truly helpful is not harmful, yet we can harm ourselves and others by over reacting or needing to find fault. Thus more karma all around.
